Investment plan unit

The investment plan unit is an essential part of the project planning division. This unit performs several tasks, including preparing integrated studies (technical and economic feasibility) to determine the requirements for establishing new projects or rehabilitating and maintaining existing buildings. It also determines the priorities for implementation based on the formation strategy. It prepares implementation plans for both the projects’ axis and regional development within the annual or future program of the ministry.

It prepares and reviews project forms to prepare them for discussion with relevant authorities for inclusion in the general ministry plan or regional development budget, in coordination with the government contracts division and other units and divisions of the department to complete all requirements, such as land preparation and resolving any legal and material problems.

It prepares development and training plans and determines the required workforce size per the project’s scale and the future university plan. In coordination with the faculties, it prepares a database for all operational and educational requirements, including laboratory equipment, study materials, and scientific needs. It conducts quantity surveys, prepares quantity tables, including technical specifications and prices, and creates a database of materials used in project implementation. It participates in pricing and additional period committees and performs other tasks to support the department’s work in general.
