Construction and Projects Department Supervises First Floor Columns and Ceiling Work for the Presidential Annex Building

Under the direct supervision of Dr. Oday Hammoudi Abdullah, Head of the Construction and Projects Department, and with the participation of several department engineers, significant progress has been made in constructing the Presidential Annex building. Key accomplishments include:

  • First Floor Column Formwork Preparation: Column molds were meticulously prepared according to engineering standards, ensuring compliance with the project’s technical designs.
  • Column Casting: The column casting process was completed on 5/2/2025, adhering to all technical procedures to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Post-Casting Procedures: Following the casting process, the required waiting period was observed to ensure concrete stability and strength. The molds were then carefully removed using appropriate technical steps. The columns were thoroughly water-cured to enhance the concrete’s quality and durability.
  • First Floor Ceiling Framework: Work has commenced on the ceiling framework for the ground floor, following the approved schedule and technical specifications to ensure efficient execution.

This milestone highlights the commitment of the Construction and Projects Department to maintaining the highest levels of quality and technical standards in the project’s implementation. The department aims to deliver a robust and sustainable infrastructure by employing best engineering practices. The project is designed to meet the growing needs of the university, providing a modern and functional workspace that reflects the institution’s dedication to continuous development.
